Chapter 1.3 Sister, Sister

When Myra woke up, she realized that she had to tell family about her pregnancy, well, the only two people she knew to tell was Alice, and Drake.

And after hers and Drake's fight last night... She wanted to call her sister first, hopefully there will be less drama that way.

But then she remembered the controlling, threatening and basically, scary person her sister could be.

Nervous didn't even begin to describe how Myra felt. She then thought, if it was this bad telling her sister, how the hell will she tell Drake? When she heard her sister say "Hello?" Myra growled
"Meet me at the park, five minutes." and hung up.

Myra sighed, seeing her sister "You could at least wear something that's longer than your arms."
"And you could wear something hotter." Alice smiled at her little sister, "Just because your married doesn't mean you have to be boring." She rolled her eyes, as Myra pursed her lips, her hand moving up to her mouth slightly.
Even if she tried, it was impossible to hide anything from her sister. Alice sighed "This is why you don't fall in love, like a stupid little girl." She chided, "You end up having to go through a divorce." Myra tried to stay quiet, she hated upsetting her older sister, because Alice always won all the fights. "Well?"

"Its not my fault!" She snapped, glaring. "Okay? Its yours. You're the one that made us have to move in the first place. You're the one who said I couldn't tell anyone about what happened. You're the one who said we have to change names. You're the one who said we have to keep this secret!" Myra was angry, sad and felt alone all at once. "And its you're fault I'm in this mess. My husband left, leaving my love life in shards, I'm pregnant, a-and..." She sighed, tears filling her eyes and she looked down as Alice looked at her younger sister, shocked.

"I just don't know what to do." Myra rested her head on Alice's shoulder. "I-I can't be a single mom, I just can't. You know what happened to us and mom" She mumbled, her voice slightly muffled. Alice stiffened slightly
"That won't happen, and you know it." Alice spoke in a low tone, then sighed "Just go home, okay? Take a nap, or eat ice cream, or whatever pregnant women do." She offered a small smile, "I promise everything will be fine, and if you ever need to, tell your precious boy toy our secret."
Myra pulled away, and half smiled at Alice "Thank you, and I'm sorry I yelled at you." She mumbled.
"Take care of yourself, and the yelling doesn't matter. I'll talk to you later, there's something I have to do..."
And with that, Alice said goodbye, and walked off.

Instead of going home, Myra went to buy a few books for the new bookshelf she had delivered. She half wondered what Alice had to do, but it was probably best not asking...

The house felt eerily empty, that was something Myra always hated, the empty feeling being alone had. Being on her own made her mind wander, and think about things she doesn't exactly want to.

Playing guitar on the beach, peaceful and quite. The only noises are the sound of the waves, and the gentle strum of the six strings.Peaceful until someone comes up. He put his guitar down when he heard a woman call "Hey, you!"

"And you are...?" He asked, rudely. This woman looked somewhat familiar, almost reminding him of Myra.
"Alice." She answered simply, "You'll learn about me later. Stop hiding out here, and go back to your wife." She spoke harshly, obviously she was used to having things her way.
"You mean that secret keeping bitch?" He asked, angry. Alice glared at him
"That's my fault, not hers. And for some reason, she actually loves you, Lord knows why." She mumbled the last bit, then sighed. "Don't give up on her, or your family." Alice folded her arms.
"What?" He mumbled, surprised, Alice rolled her eyes.
"Don't act like an idiot, sweetie. You banged my sister without protection, you honestly think nothing would've happened?" She raised an eyebrow, as he started to feel a little sorry for Myra, having to have a sister like her.

He began to listen better to what this gothicy looking girl had to say. "I've told her that its okay if she wants to tell you hers and my secret, so you don't have to keep this hissy fit up." She sighed, and mumbled something under her breath about how everything would be easier if she was in charge and walked off.
Drake watched Alice go, and got out his phone. He looked at Myra's phone number, and called her.

Myra answered her phone when she heard it ring, not really bothering to look at the caller ID
"Hello?" She asked, wondering who it could be.
"Hey, its me." Drake was on the other end of the call, and Myra tensed a little, wondering if her sister had meddled, and made him speak to her again. "Can we talk?" He asked, Myra quickly responded by nodding, then felt foolish remembering he could see her.
"Uh, yeah. Just come over to the house." She spoke a little nervously, wondering what he wanted to talk about.

Myra went out to greet him, hugging him tightly "I'm sorry I kept secrets, its just..." She sighed, "Its complicated." She mumbled.
"Its okay if you don't want to tell me right now, but I want to know someday. We're married, and we're soon going to have a family, we shouldn't be keeping secrets from each other."
Myra stayed silent for the rest of the hug.

"Are you sure?" He asked, not wanting to be the one to make eye contact.
"I'm sure." She mumbled, staring straight on. "Like you said, we shouldn't keep secrets. I'll tell you about what happened before, and about my sister Alice." She sighed "Its not a short story though..."

And, after a while of procrastinating, voila! Now, I need to work on my school stuffs, ugh. I'll do the fun stuff first. Drawing time! =D

Chapter 1.2: Lies

Myra tried to forget her sister's words, but it was a task easier said than done. She wondered what Alice meant... Surely her sister didn't mean that threat... They used to be as close as one second was to another. Myra wanted to do anything to forget, whether that be laundry...

Or cooking. Myra felt as if not much had been going on, the mornings were usually the same thing, even in the new house. She usually made breakfast, and got changed into her normal clothes for a couple hours before changing into her uniform, and going to work.
This morning was a little different though

She was feeling really ill this morning, something she really wasn't feeling the night before. She wondered if it was something she ate...? No, otherwise Drake would be feeling sick too.

Her thoughts were soon interrupted by the urge to throw up. Leaving the toilet a clogged up mess because of it. She didn't even have too much time to eat breakfast that morning, she had to go straight to work, suddenly starving.

Myra hated the uniform she had to wear, the shirt was like someone wrapped ribbon around herself, and the skirt felt like one someone a lot older would wear. The door closed behind her as she went to the car that would take her to work.

As she sat in the car, the conversation her and her sister had went through her mind...

First, no bachelorette  party invite, then I'm not invited to the wedding... I'm starting to think you don't like me.
You know that's not true Alice... I don't want my husband finding out about our family.
I suppose... Its best to keep our past a secret. So either dedicate yourself to the secret, or tell him now.
Its been a while, hasn't it?
You did the right thing Karina...
Stop calling me that. We left that behind. We left our real names behind us, and chose new ones, remember? We started a new life here, just me and you. Don't bring back the past.
And where do you think you're going?
I'm going to tell my husband the truth.
You know... Three may keep a secret if two are dead.

Myra shook her head, getting rid of the thoughts of her sister, the night before and the past. She just wanted to focus on her new life.

Drake knew of his wife's disappearance the night before, and he wanted to know what she was doing. His first thought was that she was fooling around with a different guy, as much as he didn't want to believe that, why else would she be sneaking around at night?

He played some guitar to make him feel a little better about his possibly cheating wife.

He called in fake sick to work, as he wanted to talk to Myra before 9 at night when he got off work. When she ended work, he was an hour into his. He was determined to know where she was last night.

He hung up the laundry outside, even though it was raining... He thought that they really needed a dryer, so the laundry would actually dry, not get more wet from the rain.

Drake loved playing the guitar, and any other source of music for that matter. He knew he had found his calling, if only it was in the form of a piano though...
He heard the door open, and Myra walked in. He set down the guitar, and went over to her.

"Where were you last night?" He asked, ambushing her.
"Uh... Sleeping? Next to you? Where else would I be?" She asked, trying to disguise the nervousness in a slight laugh.
"Don't lie..." Drake easily heard the nervousness in her tone, his suspicions piecing together "You were with another man." He glared at her, while she looked fairly appalled by his accusation.

"I did not cheat!" She snapped, glaring back.
"And how would I know that? You hardly tell me anything." He argued back, "Why can't you just tell me the truth? Why is it always lies and confusion with you? Just tell me what you were doing."
She was silent, and looked at the floor. The quietness answered what she couldn't. He backed away from her, and headed towards the door.
"Where are you going?" She asked, more sad than angry.

He left her. He was done with her never telling him the truth. But the question of it he was done with her all together...? That's something completely different.

Now he was gone, Myra felt... Strange, to say the least. She had never been in her own in her house before. She went to fix the clogged toilet in the bathroom, just to get her mind off how awful everything has been lately.
She also felt strange because her clothes were a lot tighter than they were before. After she had managed to fix the toilet, she went into her room, and got changed into something that fit better.

She was looking out the window, thinking about everything that has happened.

First about the talk with her sister...

Then the fight that probably ended her marriage.

Myra looked out the window for a few hours, half just to think and watch the rain, but half hoping that Drake would come back home. She loved him, always has done. She never believed in 'love at first sight' but that's because it has never actually happened to her.Now he had left, she felt alone, and the house felt eerily empty.
Her mind started to trace back over the day, but her body tensed at a realization. The throwing up before work, then feeling really hungry was one thing that got her mind thinking, and her clothes feeling tighter... Myra cautiously glanced down at her stomach, it was probably the worse time for this to happen. All she could mumble was "Fuck."

AN: Ah, swearing... The best way to finish things :)
Small spoiler (But if you know the roles... Its not really a spoiler) : Drake didn't actually move out, they were too poor so he's just gonna be hiding from the photos. He's only not going to be in a few I think...? I'm still not so sure.

This was originally going to be two chapters, the first one ending when he left, but otherwise the second one would be way too short. Anyhoo, sorry for a long wait, I had school and stuff starting recently. I can't even remember when I wrote something last, ah well.

Chapter 1.1 Our Start

The Best Secrets Are The Most Twisted...

Myra Charna, not much is known about her. She's mean, smart and sporty. A lot of guys thought she was hot, but she only loved her other half, her new husband.

They were newly weds, married about a week ago, and first thing on their list was to get a house in the town he grew up in. He figured Myra grew up there too, even though he had never seen her until about five years ago... Maybe that was him just being clueless?

Drake Charna, Myra's other half, had always had a passion for music, not that shitty rock and pop people listen to these days. He prefers Classical, and he hopes to direct a symphony one day.

Myra didn't care for music all too much, she wanted control. But no good guys ever got real power, so she decided to become a criminal. She already had experience on the wrong side of the law anyways.

She decided to go to the gym, after all, its been a while since she last worked out, and she knew she had to be a quick runner if she needed to ever get away from the cops.

Moving is a big task, and then job hunting and exercising? It wasn't much of a surprise that both of them, mainly Myra, were tired.

Drake always felt he should be there to protect his wife. She had no other family apart from him. As far as he knew, she was an orphan, and her parents died a while before they started dating. He never asked if she had any brothers or sisters, he never really wanted to just in case he would upset her.

Angry guitar playing!

Even though it was a small house, Myra loved the view from her kitchen. Seeing the river and the peaceful valley... It was what she needed. She just wished her kitchen wasn't so dark...

She couldn't help but wonder why a horse was aimlessly roaming around near her back garden. "Fucking suburbs." She muttered under her breath, somewhat annoyed.

She began to discuss her ideas over dinner, she didn't have many at the time, and most of them were about what she'd have redone to the house, but they were ideas none the less. Drake was mainly concerned about his food.

Their conversation ended when someone decided to call Maya. It was an odd time to call, also based on that she didn't know too many people... It rose suspicions. Even more so when she quickly put down her plate and answered it.
"I need to answer this in private." She murmured, walking away from their couch and coffee table. "And move your guitar somewhere else. Its bugging me being over there."

She seemed distressed by the call, and even though Drake knew he shouldn't... He couldn't help but overhear. However, he wasn't let into much insight. All she mainly said was "Yeah" or "Okay."

Myra was on the phone for a while, so Drake thought he would clean up the leftover salad. She soon joined him in the kitchen.
"Hey." He smirked, looking her up and down, "Who was on the phone?" He asked, trying not to let the curiosity seep into his tone too much.
"Oh... No one." She mumbled, smiling slightly. The way she spoke meant she didn't want to continue with that conversation. He then smirked, glancing at where their new bed was.
"You know... we haven't properly broken in the bed." He grinned, and she simply rolled her eyes.
"If you want to fuck, just say it." She said, then went off to their bedroom. "You don't have to beat around the bush."

With all the clothes on the floor in small piles, they 'broke in the new bed'

Myra couldn't help but feel a little guilty leaving her sleeping husband while she sneaked out.

Myra sat in the dark beachfront, waiting for who she was going to meet here. She was honestly nervous that Drake would find out her secret. That was probably the last thing she wanted.
Her daydreams were shattered when she heard someone call her "Karina." The figure came closer, as she sighed
"That's not my name anymore Alice, and you know that." She growled, her jaw clenched.
"Such anger, that's no way to treat your older sister." The figure sat down next to Myra.

She looked away "First, no bachelorette  party invite, then I'm not invited to the wedding... I'm starting to think you don't like me." She sighed.
"You know that's not true Alice..." Myra frowned. looking at her sister, "I don't want my husband finding out about our family."
"I suppose... Its best to keep our past a secret." Alice looked back at Myra, "So either dedicate yourself to the secret, or tell him now."
Myra sighed, wanting and needing a change of subject. Sometimes she hated her sister, Alice always made her feel like she was five again. "Its been a while, hasn't it?" She murmured, looking down.
"You did the right thing Karina..." Alice put her hand on her little sister's shoulder.
"Stop calling me that." Myra snapped, glaring. "We left that behind. We left our real names behind us, and chose new ones, remember? We started a new life here, just me and you. Don't bring back the past." She stood up after her rant, as Alice watched her
"And where do you think you're going?" Alice stood too, her arms folded.
"I'm going to tell my husband the truth." Myra said simply, starting to walk home.
"You know... Three may keep a secret if two are dead." The older sister spoke sharply, as Myra left, and went back home.

Myra's dreams were haunted by her sister's harsh words. 'Three may keep a secret if two are dead'... She didn't want to think about what she was implying. She just wanted to pretend everything was happy.
